Ms. Nakkia Robinson
Ms. Robinson has been teaching at CLASS Academy since May 2003. A veteran teacher, she has taught the Bears, Toucans, Rockets, and Kangaroos. She enjoys the community and family feeling that CLASS Academy provides. Ms. Robinson loves hearing her students’ thoughts about the world around them and feels she is constantly learning form her students. Her many interests include yoga, movies, writing, and spending time with her four children.
Mr. Matthew Dougherty
Butterfly Teacher / After School Assistant Director
Mr. Dougherty has been a teacher at CLASS Academy since August 2005. Born and raised in Alaska, he enjoys working with children and feeling like he’s making a different in their lives. In his free time he likes to read, play with his dog, build, and spend time with his family.
Mrs. Kori Jones
Mrs. Jones joined the CLASS team in August of 2016. After graduating from Western Oregon University in 2014 with a B.S. is Psychology, Mrs. Jones earned her M.S. in Elementary Education from George Fox University. While earning her M.S. degree, she conducted her student teaching in Woodburn, Oregon. In her free time, Mrs. Jones enjoys yoga, cooking, and traveling with her husband.
Mr. Ben Butler
Dragon Teacher / After School Assistant Director
Mr. Butler has been a teacher at CLASS Academy since April 2007. A native of California, Mr. Butler studied Graphic Communication. He loves working with children and couldn’t imagine doing anything else. In his free time he enjoys golfing, playing basketball, and spending time with his family.
Mr. Lamont Dabbs
Mr. Dabbs, a native of Hawaii, has been a teacher at CLASS Academy since July 2003. He is a graduate of Gonzaga University with a B.A. in Education/Art. He enjoys teaching because the children are always upbeat and can always make him laugh. Mr. Dabbs is not only a great artist, but loves to cook, play basketball, and spend time with his wife and son.
Mr. Alex Cole
Mr. Cole, a native of Portland, has been apart of the CLASS Academy student support team since 2010. He has been a member of our teaching faculty since 2014. He enjoys working with children in order to see them learn and expand their perspective of the world. In his free time he is Reserve Police Officer and volunteers for various costume charities for kids.
