Lower School consists of two beginning Pre-K classes, two advanced Pre-K classes, and two Kindergarten classes. The school day for Lower School begins at 8:30am and ends at 2:30pm. To be considered for enrollment all Lower School students must be at least 2 ½ years old and fully potty trained. Additionally, there is a two-year enrollment agreement for Lower School Students.
The Blue and Red Puffin classes are beginning Pre-K classes. Each class has and enrollment limit of 10 students. Blue and Red Puffin students spend the entire day with their primary teacher. Puffin students typically range in age between 3-4 years old. Puffin students focus on social, emotional, and school readiness skills.
The Discovery and Challenger Rocket classes are advanced Pre-K classes. Each class has and enrollment limit of 10 students. Discovery and Challenger Rocket students rotate between the two Rocket teachers throughout the day. Rocket students typically range in age between 3-5 years old. Rocket students begin to practice school readiness skills, but focus on academic goals including early literacy and mathematic foundations.
The Polar and Grizzly Bear classes are beginning and advanced Kindergarten classes. Beginning Kindergarten has an enrollment limit of 10 students, while advanced Kindergarten has an enrollment limit of 12 students. The Polar Bear and Grizzly Bear students rotate between their homeroom teachers throughout the day. Bear students typically range in age between 4-6 years old. Bear students focus on academic goals including reading and mathematics foundations.
